The Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower stands within Pudong Park, situated in Lujiazui, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. Positioned between the Yangpu Bridge to the northeast and the Nanpu Bridge to the southwest, it forms a captivating depiction of ‘twin dragons engaging with pearls’.

Standing at a towering height of 468 meters, the Oriental Pearl Tower proudly holds the distinction of being the world’s sixth tallest and China’s second tallest television and radio tower. However, its allure extends far beyond its impressive stature, as it boasts a distinctive architectural design that renders it one of the most captivating destinations worldwide. The tower’s foundation is upheld by three slanting stanchions, each measuring seven meters in width. Encircling the eleven steel spheres, which are vertically arranged at its core, are three columns with a width of nine meters each.

The Oriental Pearl Tower showcases an impressive offering of fifteen observatory levels, ensuring a multitude of vantage points for visitors to enjoy. At the pinnacle of the tower stands the Space Module, proudly towering at an elevation of 351 meters. Descending from there, you’ll come across the Sightseeing Floor located at 263 meters, followed by the Space City positioned at 90 meters. To enhance the experience even further, a captivating treat awaits at the height of 267 meters in the form of a revolving restaurant, allowing diners to indulge in breathtaking panoramic views.

Complementing this architectural wonder are three significant large spheres, the highest of which contains the space module. Accompanying these are five smaller spheres, accompanied by three decorative spheres gracefully adorning the tower’s base. The entire composition of this architectural marvel rests harmoniously on a bed of lush green grassland, creating a mesmerizing visual spectacle reminiscent of radiant pearls gently placed upon a jade platter.
