Hokkaido Obihiro Art MuseumSince it was holiday yesterday, we decided to go to Hokkaidoritsu Obihiro Bijutsukan (Art Museum) to see the “Art to thinking, Art to talking” exhibit. It was my third time to visit the art museum.
The “Art to thinking, Art to talking” exhibit runs from December 3, 2015 to March 16, 2016.
The web of pink strings made by Seiji Yamagishi.Obviously, the exhibit showed contemporary art made by Japanese artists. When we entered the museum, we were welcome by a web of pink strings made by Seiji Yamagishi. Then, we paid the entrance fee of 620 yen, with 100 yen discount from the coupon that I got.
Contemporary art pieces done by Japanese artists.
“White Garden” by Toshihiko ShibuyaThe exhibit includes artworks made by Toshihiko Shibuya and Narumi Hiroshi Makoto. They have scheduled talks during the exhibit run. Unfortunately, no one was scheduled when we went there yesterday.
Collective artwork done by Junior High School students. The interesting parts of the exhibit are the “Four Word Stories” and the collective artwork done by Junior high school students. The “Four Word Stories” is a collection of four words from about 200 people that will best express their thoughts or ideas. These are collected by the contemporary artist Midori Ikeda and placed it in plastic tape to create a one-page story about each participants.
A cup of coffee to end our day of being cultured. We ended our day of being “art connoisseurs” by drinking a cup of coffee at the cafe inside the museum.
