
Because Shikisai no Oka is just located in the Biei town of the Furano area, it has always been the second destination next to the lavenders of Farm Tomita. Shikisai no Oka means the “Hills of Seasonal Colors”, a good description of its rainbow fields of seasonal flowers. The impressive landscapes of Shikisai no Oka is about 7 hectares making it the biggest flower park in Furano.

The beautiful panoramic garden lies on rolling hills with a wide range of seasonal flowers including colorful tulips, grape hyacinth, pansy, poppy, lupine, lavender, peony, Iceland poppy, campanula, gayfeather, sunflowers, dahlia, salvia, marigold, and many more.

Aside from the picturesque flower garden, there are also restaurant and souvenir shop. The best months to visit the place of course is during summer, from the end of June until August. Although there are still some flowers to be seen in early September.
