The moment I saw the colorful lupine flowers, I fell in love with them. They are really fun to look at. So I asked my friend if there’s a big lupine garden i Hokkaido and amazingly, he took me to one.

Flower Land Kamifurano is located across Furano against Tokachidake pique. Actually, it is more famous for the lavender in April but we went there in June when lupine blossoms were at its peak.

Lupines (Lupinus spp.) are attractive and spiky, reaching 1 to 4 feet in height. Lupine flowers come in hues of blues, whites, yellows, pinks and purples. I really like them because they look like paintings with splashes of different colors.
