Considered as the cherry blossoms of autumn, cosmos flowers are the symbol bloom of autumn in Japan. There are many fields of cosmos all over Japan because they are very easy to grow just as long as they get a lot of sunshine.

From mid-August to late September, the Niji-no Hiroba in Taiyo no Oka Engaru Park, Monbetsu, Hokkaido becomes one of the largest cosmos garden park in Japan. Planted in about 10 hectares of land are about 10 million cosmos flowers. There are 16 types of cosmos in the park including the Tetra Versailles Red Cosmos and Double Click Cosmos.

I once visited the park and I enjoyed the pure beauty offered by millions of wispy cosmos that were gently blown by the wind under an infinite blue sky.
