The COVID-19 Pandemic

As of this writing, there were already more than a thousand patients in the Philippines who are confirmed positive for the virus. These numbers might be double or triple of the actual positives because there were not enough tests available and not enough facility to do the tests. I don’t know when this pandemic will end. All I know is that we need to survive. I hope we survive.

Sta. Maria Goretti Parish is located inside the compound of the Pope Pius XII Catholic Center on UN Avenue in Paco, Manila. The church was built in celebration of the 100th death year celebration of St. Maria Goretti, the patron saint of chastity, rape victims, girls, youth, teenage girls, poverty, purity, and forgiveness.

The official name of Manila Cathedral is Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Located at the historic walled city of Intramuros within today’s modern city of Manila, the cathedral was built in 1581 and has been rebuilt eight times. It serve as the episcopal see of the Archbishop of Manila, head of Archdiocese of Manila. The archdiocese encompasses the cities of Manila, Makati, San Juan, Mandaluyong and Pasay.
