Located near Antonio Arnaiz Avenue, the San Ildefonso Church of Makati was recently appointed as one of the Jubilee 2025 pilgrim churches under the Archdiocese of Manila.

Architecturally, San Ildefonso Church offers a thoughtful blend of the modern and the traditional. Clean lines and contemporary forms are softened by rich devotional elements, particularly its impressive stained-glass retables that catch the light and gently color the sanctuary throughout the day.

The church is dedicated to San Ildefonso de Toledo, a seventh-century bishop known for his deep Marian devotion, theological clarity, and pastoral courage. As Archbishop of Toledo, San Ildefonso was revered for his defense of the doctrine of the Virgin Mary’s perpetual virginity and for his commitment to guiding his flock with wisdom and humility. Tradition holds that he received a chasuble from the Blessed Virgin Mary herself, a symbol of fidelity rewarded by grace.
