The Diocese of Novaliches, a diocese located in Metro Manila, was established on December 7, 2002, by Pope John Paul II through his Apostolic Constitution Animarum Utilitati. It officially became a diocese on January 16, 2003, from the Archdiocese of Manila. Before its establishment as a diocese, it was known as the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City-North, which underwent a name change to become the District of Novaliches in 2002.

The diocese encompasses the northern areas of Caloocan and Quezon City, specifically starting from Tandang Sora Avenue and extending northward. It includes all barangays of District 2 and 5, Barangay Matandang Balara from District 3, and some barangays in District 6, namely: Pasong Tamo, Sauyo, and Talipapa. Additionally, it comprises portions of Tandang Sora and Culiat located north of Tandang Sora Avenue.

The diocese consists of a total of 70 complete parishes, including five diocesan shrines, as well as one mission area, which are organized into twelve vicariates. Among these churches, I have personally visited nine of them, including the Cathedral-Shrine and Parish of the Good Shepherd, which serves as the seat of the diocese. The diocese is dedicated to Jesus, the Good Shepherd. Here is a list of the nine churches under the Diocese of Novaliches that I have had the opportunity to visit thus far.
