On this particular Sunday in Palu, we find ourselves without any activities to engage in. Our mobility has been hindered due to the absence of internet connectivity beyond our hotel. Despite this, I still have searched for a nearby Catholic church.

After conducting a search, I came across the Gereja Katholik Santa Maria or St. Mary’s Church, situated approximately 1.7 km from our accommodation at Best Western Hotel. We decided to book a car through Grab, and the journey to the church took us approximately 5 minutes.

While heading there, we encountered some difficulty in locating the main entrance of the church, almost losing our way. Once inside, I admired the modern design of the church, particularly the captivating teal-colored ceiling.

As there was no scheduled noon mass, we concluded our visit to the church after offering our prayers. Subsequently, we embarked on an 18-minute walk back to our hotel.
