Spanning 25 hectares of tropical forest within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zoobic Safari offers far more than a conventional zoo or theme park, it delivers an immersive forest adventure where visitors come face-to-face with some of the world’s most fascinating animals. Because of the park’s wide and spread-out layout, going around Zoobic Safari requires the use of our own vehicle.

The adventure begins at Zoobic Park, a petting zoo and animal observation area set in a tropical jungle environment. Here, visitors meander through shaded paths surrounded by animals including deer, ostriches, monkeys, bearcats, and various birds.

The highlight of Zoobic Safari is undoubtedly the Tiger Safari. Riding in a specially designed safari jeep, guests enter a secure enclosed area where live tigers roam freely. From just inches away, you can see their powerful build, razor-sharp canine teeth, and intense stare. The thrill peaks as a 400-pound tiger leaps onto the safari vehicle, feeding on chicken while emitting a deep, vibrating growl.

Another adrenaline-pumping attraction is Croco Loco, home to a pit of more than 200 crocodiles. Visitors walk along a steel-grated pathway suspended above the snapping reptiles below. For the brave, there’s an option to dangle a quarter chicken on a fishing pole and watch the crocodiles lunge upward.

For those fascinated by reptiles, the Serpentarium offers a close look at snakes and other cold-blooded animals from around the world. From king snakes to massive pythons and boa constrictors, as well as iguanas, monitor lizards, turtles, and other reptiles, this section provides both education and awe, highlighting the diversity and adaptability of these often-misunderstood creatures.

Zoobic Safari also offers Tiger Close Encounter and Lion Close Encounter experiences, allowing visitors to see the “kings of the jungle” up close in their resting and sleeping areas.

However, during the visit, some of the tigers, appeared noticeably thin or emaciated, which can be unsettling for observant guests. While close encounters remain dramatic and awe-inspiring, this physical condition raises questions and may affect how visitors perceive animal welfare within the park.
