The Museo ng Republika ng 1899 is located in the old convent beside Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan. It is dedicated to the First Philippine Republic, the national government established in Malolos in 1899. The convent was originally built in 1858 using nipa and bamboo, while the structure seen today dates to 1885, constructed under Padre Juan Giron and designed following Spanish architectural styles.

The museum interior combines the historic character of the building with a modern exhibition design. Visitors move through galleries enhanced by infographics, timelines, and well-organized displays that explain key events and ideas without overwhelming detail. The layout allows for a clear and structured presentation of history.

The exhibits focus on the establishment of the First Philippine Republic, which emerged after the revolution against Spain and is recognized as the first republic in Asia. On display are historical artifacts, documents, and photographs from this period, including original items used by President Emilio Aguinaldo during the opening of the Malolos Congress. These materials provide concrete insight into the political life and governance of the republic.
