Sun Moon Lake

The scenic alpine Sun Moon Lake lake is nestled in the heart of Yuchi Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. Shoushan Monkeys

Only endemic in Taiwan, the Taiwanese macaques or Formosan rock macaques (Macaca cyclopis) are the only native primates living in the island. One family usually consists of an average of 45 individuals. Unfortunately, the species is considered vulnerable due to habitat loss and hunting. They were hunted down because of the damage they were causing to agricultural crops and their use in experimental evaluation of new drugs.

Dragon And Tiger Pagodas Of Kaohsiung

The Dragon and Tiger Pagodas is a temple located at the Lotus Lake in Zuoying District of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Consists of two 6-storey towers, one with a dragon entrance and the other with a tiger, it was said that it will bring good luck to visitors if they enter through the dragon’s mouth and exit out of the tiger’s mouth.

1600 Pandas World Tour In Taipei

The 1600 Pandas World Tour was launched in 2008 with 1600 paper mache panda art crafted by the acclaimed French artist Paulo Grangeon from recycled materials. The number 1600 was meaningful as this is the number of living pandas left in the wild at that time. So since then, the pandas exhibition went to different locations across the globe to advocate awareness on endangered species conservation and sustainable development.
