The Wanderer In Me

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?

That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.

I don’t much care where-

Then it doesn’t matter which way to go”

– Lewis Carroll, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Just like Alice, I’ve been following the white rabbit in this endless hole. Well, it’s just a metaphor of course. Not of some hallucinogenic drugs, but of my never ending wandering adventures. Travelling gives me an unexplainable high, it is a very addictive drug. The more you wander, the more you seek for more wandering. Wanderlust.

WandererActually, I am a late bloomer when it comes to travelling. After graduating, I’ve been busy working in a hospital for nearly 7 years, took my Masters of Public Health degree for 2 years while working as a research assistant at the university, then teaching for 1 and a half years. Work kept me busy. But until, an offer to study abroad came. Though it was not my first time to go abroad, it opened the world to me. Japan became my hub to the world.

During my nearly 6 years stay here in Japan, I gained a doctoral degree, scientific papers, international friends and a lot of stamps in my passport. I am a researcher by choice, wanderer by chance.

Join me in my journeys and adventures. So let the blog begins!

I….

I….

am from the lineage of conquistadores and aventureros.
