Also known as the Saint James the Apostle Parish, the Iguig church stands on elevated ground overlooking the Cagayan River. Built between 1765 and 1787, it is characterized by its red brick construction and the presence of arched buttresses that support its structure.

From the parking area, access to the church is through an old ladrillo stairway. The red brick steps are consistent with the materials used in the church itself, and the climb leads directly to the church façade.

Behind the church is the Calvary Hills, a site known for its Stations of the Cross arranged across rolling terrain. However, during the visit, there was no time for us to go up there.
